Student exchanges and mobility
An exchange is a semester or year of study at a university abroad — without interrupting your home degree. It is the easiest way for young people from BiH to gain international experience, language and connections. Here are trusted exchange programmes and how to reach them.
What will you find here?
The focus is on mobility programmes that are recognised and open to BiH students through universities and official networks.
- semester and year-long student exchanges
- regional mobility networks (Central Europe)
- short-term research stays
- summer work and travel (Work & Travel)
- youth exchanges through organisations
How to get on an exchange?
Most exchanges go through your faculty. The basics:
- Contact the international office at your faculty
- Check which universities you have agreements with
- Prepare a transcript of records and a language certificate
- Follow internal deadlines (usually once per semester)
